Production Controller
Job Description
Responsible for implementation of production plans and procedures, leading productivity improvements with project-based activities, including reduce waste, improve quality and safety, and reduce operating costs. Manage KPIs and ensure preventative actions are taken to maximize success. Work on many phases or sub-tasks of projects or entire projects of moderate complexity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and supervising the manufacturing processes, ensuring quality work is done in a safe, and efficient manner.
- Ensuring that machinery and equipment is well-maintained and kept in good working condition.
- Follow instructions and guidelines provided by superiors and make sure that the quality of work produced is up to the required standards.
- Diagnosing problems in the production line and providing recommendations and training.
- Liaising with other departments to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Prepare Daily Reports which cover all production sections (Carpentry, Painting, Assembly) and evaluate the productivity,
- Coordinate with the QC. to get clearance for finished products delivery.
- Prepare installation groups when requested in coordination with the production manager.
- Estimate the materials required for production.
- Organize the project time schedule and add the working hours and working group details of each. Ensure following this schedule strictly and share copies with the group leaders.
- Visit the working sites frequently and offer support where needed.
Qualifications:
- Significant work experience in a joinery manufacturing facility,
- Understanding engineering, scientific and other technical information, plans and written or spoken instructions.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing methods, repair, restore and assemble all kinds of furniture in all kinds of timber such as wardrobes, doors, hardware, partitions and cabinets.
- Ability to lead teams within the work group
- Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Understanding of design and production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap and re-work.
- Understanding of Health and Safety practices
- Self-motivated, flexible, proactive and committed, and has team working skills
- Written and verbal English communication skills.
