Quality Assurance

 

The Quality Assurance Officer for Joinery Factory is responsible for overseeing the Quality management plans including Production Quality Control, Quality Assurance plans for fire rated doors and FSC certificates as well as the Management System (QMS), ensuring their implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and tests on raw materials, components, and final products to identify any defects or deviations from specifications.
  • Closely monitor manufacturing activities and site conditions to find out QA/QC non-conformances and take appropriate remedial actions and report to management.
  • Monitoring and closing of Quality defect notices and Nonconformance reports of packages.
  • Design and maintain quality documentation, including inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality control plans.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to production teams to ensure adherence to quality control standards and processes.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to ensure quality requirements are met for outsourced products and services.
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement. Prepare reports and present findings to management.
  • Assess manufacturing and installation methods and ensure that QA/QC procedures are adequately implemented.
  • Coordinate with Site QA/QC Engineer to ensure that Employer’s QA/QC requirements and Key Performance Indicators (KPI), etc. are achieved at Site.
  • Ensure Quality Audits are being conducted as per standards and requirements.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory requirements related to quality control to continuously improve processes and procedures.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering, civil engineering or equivalent is preferable.
  • Proven experience as a QA/QC Engineer in woodworks industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of joinery operations, materials, and quality standards.
  • Specifically Trained & additional qualifications in Quality Management, Fire doors certificates Management and FSC certificate will be an added advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in conducting inspections and tests using various measurement tools and equipment.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting using statistical software and tools.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
