HRH Governor of Eastern Province Inaugurates the Product & Application Development Centre (PADC)

At a grand ceremony, Sipchem inaugurated its R&D Centre, known as Product & Application Development Centre (PADC) on March 18, 2015 under the auspices of HRH Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Governor of Eastern Province.

The ceremony was attended by several other dignitaries, notable among them are HRH Prince Faisal bin Turki bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Consultant, Ministry of Petroleum & Minerals; Dr. Khalid Al-Sultan, Rector, University of Petroleum & Minerals; HE Abdulaziz Al-Zamil, Sipchem Chairman; members of the Sipchem board, and executive management.

HRH Prince Saud toured the center, met with the research staff and congratulated Sipchem leadership for building such an impressive R&D center devoted to serve the polymer research community of the Kingdom.

Sipchem invested over SR 300 million to establish the state-of the-art Product & Application Development Centre (PADC) that houses more than 41 laboratories, aimed to promote industrial & commercial diversification through the development of downstream industry of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In his address, Mr. Al-Ohali extended his sincere gratitude to the inauguration ceremony sponsor, HRH Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, the honorable attendees, the board, shareholders and all the employees of Sipchem for inspiring the company in its pursuit of excellence.
